I'm a little behind, but I'm trying to catch up!!

Our good friend Jessica's Wedding and Easter was the next major event after the trip to see Thomas.

Then we also had a special celebration of my grandparents (my dad's side) but I only got one picture of that oh well...=)

Thomas

Haven't updated my blog in a while, so I thought I would. I'm starting with the Thomas trip, and then I'll add Easter and the coast sometime this week hopefully!!!

At the end of March we took the boys to ride on the Thomas the Tank Engine. I didn't get a picture of the front of the train, I was very sad...oh well...

The boys loved it!! I had taken the boys to ride when he came to Austin two years ago, but the closet he came last year and this year was Grapevine. So we made the trip to Grapevine!! We got to ride in one of the closed cars, but they had open air cars too. It was really cold that day (very unusal for a March day in Texas) I liked the Austin one better (even though they had the same stuff) because they had it in the convention center and so everything was in the same room, and because of the cold snap in Grapevine, everything was in tents and it was crowded...but it was still ALOT of fun!

This Thomas trip is part of Drake's fun day, since we are going to be driving home from Indiana on his birthday!! Even Taylor had a good time that day, although she won't admit it!!! =)

Ice Skating

This year we are bypassing the parties and letting the kids (or helping them..) pick something they want to do as a treat on their birthday. Will's was the zoo. Taylor's was Ice Skating. Taylor decided to go to school on her birthday, so we did some fun things on the actual day of her birthday and waited for Spring Break to go Ice Skating. I thought it would be fun for the boys to experience it too...but I think I was wrong on that...oh well. Drake hated it and would not even put his foot on the ice unless he was forced to. Will didn't want to at first but he got braver as the day wore on. Luckily, they have it set up for a hockey team to play/practice, so there were benches on the ice and the boys could sit there and we could watch Tay/Daddy/Mommy skating...Taylor loved it of course. We had been once before, I took her as a treat one day last year so she had a little experience and did well on the ice. Here are some pics from the day.....
Will was so funny, before we went he was so excited about the idea of ice skating, he would say when we go ice skating, I'm going to put a fork on my shoe and go on the ice!! I really don't know where he got the idea that the blade looked like a fork, but I thought it was sooo cute!! We got there, got his skates on and he was okay, but kinda nervous, and then when he tried to walk in them and felt how funny it was with the blades on, that's when he flipped out...but he did start to get use to it and was okay....but he would barely let go of that wall. I did finally convince him to do it while holding my hand and the wall a couple of times, but he still would not go to far from the bench area!!! But I think in a few years he'll be ready to try again. When we were leaving he said for his birthday next year he wants to go ice skating, and I said we'll see it--but we will probably wait until he's a bit older!! hehehe

There's more pics on my facebook page, and video!! =)

It was a fun day. I just won't take the boys ice skating again for a few years!!!
When we got home after our snack I found Taylor and Will like this on the couch!! Tired from Ice Skating...tooooo cute!!!! =)

BIG Relief...

I'm doing Beth Moore's Bible Study on Esther. It's one of my favorite bible studies and so far this one has been great. I love learning "background" on my favorite people. =)
So I decided I wanted to read it with Taylor. We read Chapter 2 last night. It was about how Esther is taken to the harem and it refered to the girls as virgins many times. So I'm thinking well, here it goes...I am going to have to answer some hard questions now...So we get done and we are reviewing what happens and she says.."Well there's just one part I don't understand" And I think, okay here goes, at least Jeremy is in here to help...and she asks "I don't understand that last part about the two guys" (She was refering to the two guards that conspire to kill the King, and Mordecai overhears!!) BIG Sigh of relief...we avoid the hard stuff again!!!!!!!!! HEHEHE!!!!

So much to do...

So I'm planning a garage sale this Saturday. My plan was to clean out the house and I would have a huge garage sale. I set the day (to give myself a goal) and got started. And now it's three days away and I've lost all momentum!! I cleaned out every room except for the kid's room (well I did do some of Taylor's) and my room. And Jeremy did work on the garage a bit. There's still plenty to do out there. Oh well.
My room is the worst. There's no way I am going to get it finished by Saturday. At least Jeremy is taking the day off to help.
While we are on that subject....I hate this schedule, while it's nice to have him home on Mondays and Tuesdays, I hate him working Saturdays. I have to get up, load up the kids and drive him to work most Saturdays because we have something going on...But just not having him around on a Saturday is the toughest part I think. If Saturdays were not such a busy day otherwise I don't think I would mind so much. And that leaves me with 1 day to sleep in (Sunday). And I don't really get to just sleep that day either, because I have to get up at least by 9 to get ready for church. Now 9 is late and I am usually up by then anyway, but the fact that I have to rush around right after I get up is what I don't like. I like to be able to just lounge and take my time!! And I am not a good sleeper Or Nap taker, I don't really like to take naps, but somedays you just have to....Oh well...enough about that....
Saturday also is the day I pick up the girl scout cookies. I love girl scout cookies. I really don't like being cookie mom. I am going to have to beg one of the other moms to do it next year!! I will probably be making a trip to the girl scout office once a week from now until the end of Feb.--- Just to pick up more cookies. It's really not that far, but it is a 30 min. trip there and back. It's the closest place to get individual boxes-- all the others you have to get full cases. But I may just take advantage of that this year instead of driving all the way over there so much!!
Drake just bit my arm. He was playing but still, I don't know why he bites. Taylor did a little bit, but she stopped pretty quickly. I'm having a hard time with Drake and getting him to stop. He usually is just playing when he does it, so I'm not sure he realizes what he is doing.
I'm very disappointed that we didn't get more ice today. I know a lot of people don't like icy weather but I love it!! I enjoy cold for a few days anyway... Maybe I should move up North for the winter then I can see if I like it or not!!! We haven't had a good chance of ice like this in a LONG time. Oh Well. Maybe soon....
Taylor isn't doing Cheer this semester. I'm disappointed. But I think she needed the break. We will probably do it again this summer or soccer. She wants to try soccer for some reason!!
Not much else going on around here.
Here are some random pictures!!
