Catching Up/Random Thoughts

Since Halloween the rest of the year has just flown by! The three weeks of school in November went by so fast, and Taylor gets a week off of school for Thanksgiving so we took that opportunity to go to see Jeremy's family in New Mexico.(I prefer to be home on Christmas day so we felt like that would be a good time to go!) It was soo fun. Then back to school for three weeks again and Christmas comes!! And those weeks were jammed pack with Christmas parties, and just life....My parents took Jeremy and I to the USAA Christmas party this year and we got to see the bands, Lonestar and Styx, it was awesome!! But this year is going by so fast!! I am soo ready to take the Christmas stuff down though. =) Ready for a new year. I have lots of plans for this new year, cleaning out the house, getting rid of as much debt as possible, and not being sooo broke all the time, I just have to stay out of the stores!!! Will turns 4 on Jan. 6th. I can't believe he's gonna be 4. I think since having him and Drake so close it goes by much faster....But he's finally potty trained, I'm sooo excited about that!!! Halloween

Finally!!

Well, he finally did it!! Will is now potty trained!! Last week we decided to just put him in underwear and make him wear them all day no matter what. No diapers!! And it went very well, and now, no accidents!! It only took like two days for him to get used to it! So exciting!! Just had to share!! =)

Halloween Fun!!

Halloween is one of Taylor's favorite days (the others being christmas and her birthday of course)!! Since she can't seem to stop talking about it...and it's on my mind... I decided to post some old Halloween Pictures and a couple of fun dress up pictures, my kids love to dress up!!!

I know I am missing some halloween pictures and dress up pictures. I just don't know what folders they got put into. The boys are always either a pirate or batman in all of them!!

October

Well, another month gone, and as always, I'm wondering where did go?!!
Taylor is doing good in second grade. She is really enjoying it now, and we have no tears over drop off. It's alot more work then first grade though, but she's handling it. She's started cheerleading again, and loves it. We got the same coach we had last year, which we were all excited about that because he's really good and he does great with the girls and they all love him!!! =)
Will is doing okay on potty training, he goes but still just not there yet. The doctor says not to worry about it, but I'm a mother, I worry....
He's really enjoying his bible class now though. He loves to go, which is a total 180 from last April/May when Ladies bible class and MOPS ended for the summer. He would run when we got the door of his class, but now he is so excited and loves going!!
Drake is in the terrible twos. I hate calling it that, but it really is....he's learning....He thinks he is three though, just like his brother, and wants to do everything big brother does. It's cute and annoying. He's talking so much now. It's a really fun and annoying age!!!
Taylor is so excited that it's October. She loves Halloween. This year we are all dressing up as the Scoody Doo gang. It's gonna be fun. She wants to decorate the house all up too, so I guess that's what we will be doing this weekend!!

Labor Day Fun

I always feel like I should be on a lake somewhere on Labor Day. I don't really know why, we didn't really do it that much when I was a kid, but we did go to the lake. My grandparents even had a Party Barge (it is actually called that I looked it up!! and just in case you want to see for yourself--- http://www.gonnasonboats.com/suntracker.htm#three ) We would go out on that occasionally.....But I don't know that it was necessarily on labor day!!
So anyway...we just had a fun time at our house on this labor day. I set up the baby pools in the backyard for the kids and the sprinkler and we had a little picnic back there and then later grilled some hot dogs. It was a good day!

Will has been saying some of the cutest things lately. He has always amazed with the things that he comes up with but these are my favorites that I want to remember so I can think about it when he's in high school and remember how cute it was!!!

Drake is starting to talk in sentences alot now too. I feel like he's growing up too fast!! But he does have to stay up with the big kids I guess. He thinks he's three just like his big brother, and if you ask him how old he is, that's what he tells you--"Tee"!!! And it's so cute when he says Willie...they are best buds....it was quite a surprize to get pregnant so fast after Will, but it has been great to have the two boys so close together because they are such best friends!!!

First Day of School

The summer some how has passed us by!! It was a hot summer and we really didn't do anything that exciting, but it was still fun and nice to have Taylor home!!
So here's a picture of Taylor's first day in Second Grade!


She had a good day. The one thing that bothered her was that her teacher didn't bring her out for dismissal, one of the other teachers did that. And she's worried about the fire drill again....
But, luckily we haven't had any tears at drop off..so far....
She said she cried a little after I left yesterday, but she was okay.

The boys got to sleep late yesterday because Jeremy has Monday's off....and this morning was so hard to get them up and going!!! Will even fell asleep on the trip to the post office!!
Okay, mom duty calls....blogging will have to wait til later!!! =)

Oops!! I did it again.

I give up on trying to cut the boys hair on my own! Well, maybe now that I know how to use the clippers on it. Anyway, I gave them new cuts.....My mom took the clippers to fix my job that wasn't very good in the first place.... Drake's is much shorter than I like it, but it looks cute at least!!! (the picture's not that great...but here it is.....)


Will's is good, it's just how I wanted it, but couldn't quite achieve it because I was to afraid of messing up!!
Taylor had her last basketball game yesterday. She was soooo excited about getting the trophy. The coach always tried to get the team to pass the ball to her when they could so she could score (she is pretty good at making the basket) but I don't think she scored once!! She really didn't care though all she cared about was her team winning (which they were pretty good, and I would say they won the majority of the games....but they didn't keep score and I didn't pay that much attention to that detail either...) So if anyone on her team would score she would celebrate like it was her basket she just made!!! She loved playing basketball!! =) I see it in our future....hehehhe

Random Thoughts

Just some happenings going on right now. Taylor has decided it's fun to dress the boys for me. It's nice, but it's not what I would pick to put on them...and for some reason she always has to put a jacket on Drake, I have to remind her that it's 99 degrees outside and I don't want him in a jacket....oh well. At least she is trying to help!! =)
Potty training is not going well with Will. He just won't do it. He knows what he needs to do, but won't. Drake on the other hand has started telling me when he needs to be changed, so I think I'm going to really focus on him for a while.
And now for the tough issues...I am really thinking hard about sending Will to Pre K. I don't have any idea where yet, but I'm trying to decide if it's worth it. He gets the social outlet he needs during the school year, when we go to ladies bible class and MOPS, but am I a bad mom for not sending him, when it seems like everyone is doing it....but since when do I have do what everyone else is doing anyway....and then there's the whole potty training issue....I don't know.....So anyway that's pretty much it for now...School starts soon so life is going to get really busy again....Kinda excited, kinda not, kinda tired just thinking about it!!!!

Summer in Full Swing

Summer is here and the hot weather is making me lazy. We had a very busy June, and July has just been kinda quiet and hot. I am really trying hard to get Will potty trained (he is a challenge because he knows what he needs to do and he just doesn't want to, he's perfectly happy wearing a diaper) and today started in on Drake. Drake I think will be easier because he is more interested in it than Will was and is. So hopefully I will have two potty trained boys by the end of next month!! I won't complain if I don't have Drake trained yet because he did just turn 2, but it would be nice!!!

This is from Drake's Birthday Party, we had a "pool party" I set up the little pools in the backyard and they had a blast playing in the water!! For his cake I made a "Teddy Bears at the Beach" Cake!!

Taylor lost 3 teeth so far this summer!! She only has two out in this picture, I couldn't find the one with all 3 gone!! I have it here somewhere.....

We went to VBS, then we went to Dallas, then we had Girl Scout Camp!! All within three weeks of each other.....

And Another Month Gone....

Well April was about like March here one day and gone the next....
We went to Rainforest Cafe for my birthday which was a lot of fun, except that the animals scared the boys so I had them on either side of me (one on each leg) pretty much the whole time!! But it was a good day.
Taylor had her cheerleading competition. She got a trophy and her team was the grand champions!! She even slept with her trophy that night!!


The next major thing was our trip to the coast....






And now on to the end of school and a busy summer!!! Hooray!! =)

So it really is true what they say about March, in like a lion and out like a lamb!!! I can't believe it is the end of March already, I feel like it just started!! We started off with Jeremy's dad in town. Taylor cheered at a Spurs game, they were the pre game show!! It was so fun. Taylor loved staying to watch the game.




Then the next day we went downtown, Jeremy's dad had never been to the Alamo and really wanted to see it, so we treated him to a fun day!!!

Then it was time for Easter Egg Hunt at Church!!


Will was really tired after Egg Hunting, he couldn't even eat his supper!!! I somehow managed to not get a good picture of him egg hunting at the church!! Oh Well!

So next was Spring Break....

We did a lot of fun things on Spring Break, we went to Sea World, we went to the park, we went shopping, and we rested!!
On Saturday before Easter, Taylor and I went to see High School Musical on Ice with Crystal and Anna, and that was a lot of fun!

Then we had Easter.



Drake really enjoyed finding the ones with the chocolate.




And then Monday after Easter, it was back to the routine!!!
And now March is just about over and it's April already!!! Can't wait to see what this month brings....=)
